Cuphead is exclusive to Xbox and PC but may come to Mac and Linux at some point.

PS4 and Switch have been ruled out.

Indie darling Cuphead has been confirmed by its developer that it will not be making its way to the PS4 or Switch platformers. Cuphead has been a long time coming for developer Studio MDHR as they have tried to make a game in this style for decades. It is understandable that it will remain a console exclusive for Xbox as Microsoft has assisted the promotion of the game even though the developers are self-publishing. Cuphead will be making its way to Xbox and PC in September 2017 barring delay and according to one of the developers on Neogaf, it may also come to Mac and Linux in the future.

Opinion: The art style of this game looks fantastic and really nails the look of a 1930s cartoon. Part of me wonders if Disney has any grounds to stop this game as the lead character does look pretty much identical to Mickey Mouse except for the cup for a head. Eurogamer released some gameplay footage that I will share below that shows the game in action. It has a main focus on bosses which is good because the platforming looks pretty dry to be honest. I understand they are going for a Metal Slug kind of vibe but it still doesn’t look that exciting to play. Hopefully the game will have a bit more to it so that it isn’t just style over substance.
