A sequel to 2013’s “The Wolf Among Us” has been announced by developer Telltale. The interactive story is based on a series of comics named Fables and the sequel was announced at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego. It is a re-imagining of traditional fairy tale characters into a more gritty and realistic setting. It is set to be released in 2018.
Opinion: The Wolf Among Us is Nelson’s favourite of the Telltale games and we are somewhat nervous about a sequel. I attempted to play it a while back but the PS3 version was shithouse and wouldn’t even run for me. Our hopes that Telltale would take some time off to make a new engine was to no avail as they have continued to pump out more and more games that feel less inspired with each installment. What was a fun concept when The Walking Dead came out is now something that I would honestly have no intention to play now. The seriously need to make a new engine and start from scratch but while they continue to sell as well as they do Telltale won’t see the need. Instead it is all about pumping out as many games on as many platforms (these games are on phones. That should speak volumes about the graphical quality) as possible.
